Smile from the Netherlands

Hi, I'm Sjoerd from the Netherlands.. my Englisch is very poor, I hope you can understand...
Just bought a Kawasaki Versys 650 '10 in black. I hope, I will do as many beautyfull kilometres as my, just sold, Honda Varadero '01. We (my wife and I) own also a Honda Transalp '95.

thanx
I'm a father of a boy and daughter since 2.5 years so we don't ride as much as before we drove about 25.000 km around europe a year... and since 3 years it reduced to 3.500 km a year... We hope we will do better! I will post photos later.

That is about all the Dutch I know, so your English is fine. Welcome.

Thats the most important Dutch you have to know, thank you all for the warm welcome here.

I hope the weather will be fine next couple of months, so I can be riding a lot on my 'new' bike. Next month I will be introducing the Kawa at the last 'tour' of the Dutch Honda Transalp Club (I'm a active member). I wonder if I'm as welcome there as at this site.

Just added 'the muttley-sign' on the bike, so now its clear: it's MY bike! (I couldn't remove the 'muttley sticker' from the old Varadero... so when you are riding in Poland and see the big black Varadero with a muttley picture... it was mine)

I am so jealous that you took your bikes all over Europe. I have been trying to convince my wife to do that too. It's a little more difficult for us being in the USA. She was born in Italy and we were there 6 years ago, so I keep hoping she will get the itch again this coming summer. Anyway, welcome

We still dream about a motorcycle trip to the USA, but it won't happen before our children will be a little bit grown up! they are now 1 and 3 years of age... so it could take a while... (but if you are in Holland you are welcome!)

It's so funny that both sides of "the Pond" want to be on the other side. There are so many beautiful places here that I haven't seen, but Europe is so much older. A little town outside of Milan has a church built in the 1400's It was before Columbus came here. That just blows me away. I would love to see Holland. The thought of living on a canal fascinates me.
