After I got my 2009 recently, I bought the same Emgo mirrors from Dennis Kirk that I had on my prior Versys. I didn't want to pay for the expensive mirror extenders this time.

After all the talk about the Aprilia mirrors, I got them from Ducati San Antonio and installed them today.
Installed the Aprilias yesterday. No vibes whatsoever. Required a lot of tweaking before I found the right angles. The shape will definitely take some getting used to. Overall, way better.

Can you post a picture of the angle you liked best? Is the rubber boot installed with the wide opening down?
I originally replaced my stock mirrors with after market mirrors and mirror extenders I bought off ebay. Big improvement in rearward vision and I could see past my elbows. I recently had to replace my mirrors again after a crash. This time I got the Aprila mirrors, at least mirrors that look identical to them. In fact I am pretty sure they are the Aprila mirrors, just sold direct from the Hong Kong factory as generic 10mm bar mount mirrors. [ebay item number 270849847432 ] Bought them off of ebay from Hong Kong. They are superior to anything I have had so far. No vibration and clear at any speed. They also stick out as far as the others without requiring extenders and are vertically higher up which works better and of course look better. Highly recommend.
If you have excessive vibration make sure the throttle body vacuum sync has been done. Normally done annually.

I got 2 up grades for the price of 1. I put the Aprilia on the Versys and was happy happy joy joy at being able to see what as behind me. I then took the Versys mirrors and installed them on my KLR! Not only do they look better than the "Lollypops" the KLR comes with BUT I could see clear as a bell with very little vibs.
The KLR mirrors? They fit in the junk box just fine!
