Default I hate salt...

We had about 2" of snow here SO they salted the heck out of the roads. So I have to change the oil and top off the tanks today then add Stabil. I'll wash the bikes and up on the stand, with the battery conditioners hooked until spring. I have a "Don't ride" clause in my insurance anyway from December until March. Of course I'll be doing all this when it's 40!

Don't neglected your chain. I had to ride in a snow storm last February and washed the bike. What I should have done was lube the chain before I did anything. The bike escape the rust monster. But I end up having to buy a new chain for the start of the season. She was done.

Good point I clean, dry and lube the chain as part of a wash and wax. Cables as well.

Wow... I bitch about the nothing but straight roads down here in Florida... but I guess it does have its advantages.

FWIW - I spray my chain w/ WD40 before the wash, then AGAIN after, and wipe it off.
