I've seen here where several folks have replaced their turn signals with aftermarket. Any chance one of you folks wants to offset your expense by pawning off the OEM parts.
I had a little disagreement with the Versys and a ditch yesterday that cost me a front left turn signal, left cowling and footpeg mount.
PM with any info.
Thanks,
Chris

I was afraid someone was going to ask details. :(
Not a whole lot to tell really. Just a case of finding myself headed into a right hand curve going a little too fast. In hindsight I could have easily made the curve, but I decided that bailing would be a better course of action. There was no oncoming traffic and I had a nice smooth green field on the left of the road. I stayed strayed with plans to come to a stop in the field. What I did not notice is that the grass was nice and smooth, but it concealed a small ditch at the edge of the road. I learned firsthand that the Versys is not a true dualsport bike. The KLR would have rolled right over the small ditch and come to a controlled stop. On the Versys, all I could do was take a small leftside lay-down.
I hurt my left ankle a little bit (I had on tall leather boots) and twisted my knee slightly. The knee is good to go, but I still have some pain in the ankle. I'm able to run on it though, so it's not really that bad.
The damage to the bike is almost completely fixed. I ordered some aftermarket blinkers today. I've already replaced the cowling and had the footpeg bracket welded. Since the accident I've probably put another 800 miles or so on the bike, so I'm confident the damage was limited to just the cosmetic stuff that I've already addressed.
All in all, it was a good lesson to learn with relatively little damage to learn it.
Thanks for the concern.
Chris
