I rode every day many years ago, it was my favorite thing. Then I rode a moped for a few years and subsequently spent years riding a bicycle. I bought a Yamaha Vino 125 scooter a few months back and it has been good but it isn't enough. After much research it came down to the V-Strom and the Versys. I had a V-Strom 650 that I tried to buy but the dealer accidentally transferred it to another store and it got snapped up. Thus I will soon be riding a new 2008 Versys which I bought online. I'm tempted to spend some $$ on lighting, hugger, horn, Givi, etc. right now so it will be here by the time the bike arrives in 8 days. Thanks for all the information I have found already in this forum.

:welcome: You'll be very happy with your choice. As for lighting, look for 08Versys' posts. He added driving lights to his and posted excellent directions on installation and modification. I copied his setup and the lights are VERY bright and look great.

Good accident by the dealer. You will be pleased with the Versys. :D
