I just got a new Nexx XR1R Helmet. Its a nice snug fit everywhere except there is a slight pressure point on the top of my forehead prior to my hairline.

Is this helmet too small or will it pack down as I use it more?

BTW... this helmet is super light and the field of view is spectacular, its like having an open-face helmet on. My glasses go in as easy as they do with my HJC modular.

I'm not a helmet expert but that's the one place for me that the pain never goes away. If I have a helmet that hurts on my forehead, it's either too small or a shape that doesn't fit me.

Maybe people with more experience will have more wisdom.

Yeah I have a new helmet as well, and switched off with my husband so he could try mine out. Felt like I was sliding all over the place in his helmet! New pads are always tight, but ideal fit means you wiggle the helmet and it moves with your scalp. Too big means your noggin will be bouncing around in there if you take a fall. I think if the pressure is slight, the pads will compress with a bit of time and fit should be good!

Thats what I am hoping!

My HJC CL-SP full faced helmet did the same thing to me as well at first. Now 400 miles later it fits great.

I had the same issue in the same spot on my EXO 1000. Seems to be much better now that my head has been in it for 40 or 50 hours.

Place helmet on head, then run as fast as you can into a wall. 5 or 6
times and its good to go!:D

Really, take a small hammer and tap the tight place. You will compress the styrofoam liner a bit just as it would do over time anyway. The styrofoam is typically about an inch thick and you will feel a difference of as little as a 1/16 of an inch.

I am going to try pressing the styrofoam liner with the back of an old ice cream scoop first.
