muskie 05-02-2010, 09:19 AM Summer is coming fast (I haven't had to scrape my windshield in the morning in almost 5 days). Time to start planning some V.O.M.I.T. Rides. I would like to do another run in my neck of the woods I was thinking a Beaver Valley road run up to Collingwood and the Blue Mountain Resort. I also thought a Bobcaygen/Bancroft ride would be cool as well as being closer for some of our more Eastern Ontario riders.
Richard also mentioned an "Elmira Mennonite Country Tour" which sounds fun, I am nominating him to organize that one.
Not familar with V.O.M.I.T. ? It stands for the Versys Ontario Motorcycling Team, please see link http://www.kawasakiversys.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4998

Richard 05-28-2010, 04:29 PM Sorry, I have not been on this site for several weeks. June 12 th does not work for me but I would be happy to lead a Mennonite country tour. Was thinking we could meet at the Tim Horton's in Elmira and head out from there, following paved country roads around Elmira and gradually work our way south following Grand River near Cambridge and Paris. Tour would be 150-200 km. My calendar is full every weekend in June but was thinking of July 10 or 11, is Sat. or Sun better for folks? Please post here and we can hopefully make this happen. I have to attend an event next Sat that got postponed today.
I only had 2 positive responses and things were not firm anyways.
Sorry if this buggered anyones plans.
My summer calendar is in limbo at the moment as my wife just got a new job.
I will revisit the run when I have a better handle on our schedule.
