I was given this same bag by a friend, it works great to carry a few personal items and phone. The main compartment has enough room to hold my rainsuit for easy access on those days when it is threatening rain and you are putting the rainsuit on and off repeatedly during the ride. I also have a large Tourmaster, but prefer the J.R. jr. for normal day to day use. I dojn't know what they are worth new, but the price seems about right.
