This is going out to those other "Viagras," or anyone that'll be in the area and ride along; because damn the weather is looking to be great, and it's nice to get away with a ride in the "winter" season.

I am heading up a ride that will visit three old forts on the Peninsula's that held our dear Seattle/Tacoma area safe back when Naval invasion was a threat--they formed a formidable "triangle of fire" (no folks, I didn't make that up). They're will be two or meeting points depending on who is coming and going, but at the moment the first one is in Edmonds, WA at a Starbucks (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=10016+edmonds+way,+edmonds,+wa&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=50.557552,96.591797&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=10016+Edmonds+Way,+Edmonds,+Snohomish,+Washi ngton+98020&z=16&iwloc=r2) at 8:30ish--we're catching the 9:20 ferry--and the following in Port Gamble at the General Store (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=port+gamble,+wa&sll=47.79069,-122.367522&sspn=0.010567,0.023582&g=10016+edmonds+way,+edmonds,+wa&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Port+Gamble,+Kitsap,+Washington&ll=47.856035,-122.584419&spn=0.005277,0.011791&z=17&iwloc=lyrftr:m,12107057456945983869,47.85605,-122.583947), at 10:00ish.

The route (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=10016+Edmonds+Way,+Edmonds,+WA+98020-5107+(Starbucks+Coffee)&daddr=Teal+Lake+Rd+to:Fort+Flagler,+Jefferson,+Was hington+to:Cape+George+Rd+to:Fort+Worden+State+Par k,+Port+Townsend,+Washington+98368,+98368+(Fort+Wo rden+State+Park)+to:Fort+Casey+to:mukilteo&hl=en&geocode=FWI62QId39G0-CHRySCxwviyqilJ2buQYhqQVDHnZHry05ylIw;FTay2gIdsiew-A;Ffjl3QIdA9Kv-CnfyRCpH-6PVDHmou2iPd0eIQ;FX2-3QIddTKt-A;FZWJ3gIdupau-CHx1R4dK9KwHA;Faft3gIdBhKw-ClfeT28qfOPVDGUMLasbjXzgA;FVyT2wIduse1-CkFJgCyYwGQVDEWToGxdodU9g&mra=mr&mrcr=3&via=1,3&sll=47.994976,-122.487946&sspn=0.336812,0.725098&ie=UTF8&ll=48.027591,-122.599182&spn=0.673196,1.450195&z=10) will consist of taking the ferry over to Kitsap Peninsula, then around Port Gamble and across the Hood Canal Bridge. I have heard promising things of Teal Lake Rd, so going to check that out on our way up to Fort Flager, then around town to Fort Worden. Depending on time and ferry schedules, we will either have lunch in Port Townsend, or hop across the Sound to Whidbey Island directly. At which point, visit the last remaining Fort Casey, and onward to Langley for Lunch over the Saratoga Strait and homeward bound after that.

The expected duration of the ride will be into the very early afternoon, I might have to boogey home to help my cousin move a bed, so we won't be gone till dark.

Most of us are all spread out, so I would understand meeting at certain times in different places. Post or PM me if that is the case, and we'll have gloat about a good ride when Mach decides to flock back up here. As of this posting, besides me 2up, there is also a Duc and a Yamaha riding with us.

Ride was great. seven bikes total ranging from touring to naked, though I was the only V. Great weather, a little chilly starting off, but the Forts were great, food in Port Townsend superb, and everything went well (not speeding rewards or spills).
