I bought one of these about a year ago after a lot of research and for a lot more dosh than $139. I love it, favorite jacket I've ever had.

I've had a Kilamonjaro for over 3 years. It's a lot more faded now, but I do like how it can go from cold weather and then convert to much warmer weather by taking out the lining and opening its many vents. Real handy on multiple day trips when the weather can change so much and you only have one jacket to use.

My only complaints are, I added more Velcro to the neck area so it could go over my neck warmer, the liner jacket has too small of wrist openings (which I had enlarged), and the back protection pad is not much to feel comfortable about, so I added another back pad to it. It's always kept me dry.

I can't remember what I paid for it back then, but I am sure it was not as cheap as that ad.

I have a Olympia AST 3/4 length jacket. While it's not on sale it is one of the best jackets I've owned and one of the few textile jackets with excellent abrasion resistance.
