SO the other day I saw this helmet...
http://www.joerocket.com/catalog/index.cfm/250/413/Helmets/RKT-Hybrid
A Joe Rocket Dual Sport, for sale... just wondering if any of you guys have had experience with this particular helmet, or any Joe Rocket helmet for that matter...
And another question... does anyone know of a DS Helmet that has those integrated flip down sun glasses thingies?

Joe Rocket helmets are made by HJC, but that particular model is not sold under the HJC brand in the US. I tried it at a local dealer - the helmet was typical HJC (which is to say well made, nice materials and finish) but I thought the visor sucked. It had a lot of distortion, which after looking at the curvature they gave it, seems pretty obvious it would be a problem. I wouldn't buy online without trying it on first to see if you see as much distortion as I did.

Looks kind of long, it may whip your head around if you look at something side-ways at speed. Plus with that fixed visor I would think it would catch the wind as well. Cool helmet though, just doesn't seem practical.

They claim it is an Anti-Lift Visor ........maybe at legal speed , not sure about pushing limits ??? Also you can remove the visor as well , but then it looks like the dogs breakfast

Thanks Gustavo, that was what I was kinda worried about. Visor distortion is not something I really want to put up with.
So any of you guys have opinions on some good DS helmets then? I know the Hornet is probably pretty awesome but I'm trying to spend a little less than that if possible, while still having the DOT sticker.

The Zeus ZS-2100B got great reviews, and is well liked for its quality, quietness, and its visor. DOT and ECE 22.05 approved.
