: Scorpion EXO-700 helmet with eyeglasses?

Has anybody had experience with the Scorpion EXO-700 while wearing eyeglasses? I currently have a KBC FFR modular that is great for eyeglass fit but noisy. I'm considering the Scorpion full-face to eliminate noise but it must fit eyeglasses.

Howdy, I have that helmet, I am not sure about eliminating noise though. It is definitely good when you have clean air or no air, but with some of the buffeting coming of the screen it isn't totally quiet. I do not wear eyeglasses but have had no problem wearing sunglasses while riding. So depending on the shape of the glasses it should be ok.

I like the helmet a lot better than the Gmax I used before, lot lighter and better fitting.

Try earplugs to eliminate noise. I wear earplugs with my EXO-700.

+1 on sunglasses with the EXO-700.

Also, I have found it to be no louder than any other helmet. Not quieter either. Just normal. FWIW, I wear earphones or earplugs when I ride, but I do that with any helmet.

I ride with prescription glasses, both clear and tinted all the time with my Scorpion EXo-700. Only very occasionally do I have problems getting one ear piece back in, and it's usually when I'm in a hurry and don't take the time to do it carefully. Both pairs of glassed are wire framed, and the flexible kind. I had a pair of plastic frames just previously on my tinted glasses. No problem there either. I've worn my EXO-700 on 6 consecutive days of over 200 miles with no problems.

I wear glasses too.

+1 to panamafrog. The flexible wire glasses take a little finesse to put on under the helmet. Once you do it a few times, its no big deal. Just a little frustrating the first few times you do it.

My next pair of glasses will not have flexible frames.

As for noise, the EXO-700 isn't considered a quiet helmet. I wear earplugs with mine.

For me, I find the EXO700 no nosier than my Arai Corsiar. I have to wear some form of ear protection with all helmets. Most of the time I wear Big Ear stereo ear buds with the music just loud enough to mask the wind noise. (This is not acceptable in most states, including mine.)

I believe it was in Motorcyclist 09 issue where they published an article on wind noise with helmets. Not an encouraging article. Without some form of hearing protection, you are hurting your, ears even with short rides.

I'm not sure how much different the EXO400 and the 700 are, but I don't have any problems with sunglasses as long as they fit close to the temples. It's also got a good bit of wind noise at highway speeds. I did a search for Scorpion accessories and they make a piece that fits in the gap under the bottom front of the helmet. I may order one since I can reduce the noise quite a bit by placing my hand on the front of the helmet in that area.

I have the EXO-700. One thing I found with this helmet is you need to purchase the $7 chin skirt they sell for it. It makes the helmet 75% quieter.

I did buy the EXO-700 in neon green for visibility. It works well with eyeglasses. It is comfortable but noisy at high speed. I'll order the chin skirt that twowheels says makes it quieter.

I have this helmet. If one of you bought the chin skirt, can you please provide a link? I haven't even ridden yet, but am working to be prepared for when I do get my bike. MSF tomorrow!!

Thank you.

I use the EXO-1000. (300 bucks though I got it for free when i bought the bike)
with glasses ( wire frame), and it works / fits just fine.

comes with the inflateable chin pads and skirt too.

Love the build in sun shades that retract internally.

hope that helps.

BTW....Guess what color my "V" is.........LOL

I have the EXO-900 works great with glasses. Wind noise is no longer an issue. Had to take the chin skirt off to be able tho use my Scala Rider Q2 with the helmet closed but there was no differance in noise with or without the chin skirt. I'll attach a photo
