the pc V install looks routine, then I get to the last section about the speed input, temp input, and 12v source for auto-tune. Are these optional inputs? do you splice into them? dynojet's closed till 8am, so if anyone knows, cool, if not, I'll try and post the answer tomorrow. Isn't it interesting that the akra slip-on map is leaner than the "stock" map? hmmmn.

DJ would like to sell you an accessory module with a handlebar mounted switch. you can use any spst switch, or just jumper it under the seat to change maps away from your laptop. the other input are optional and probably more useful for those running boost or a bottle.
the pcV realllllly smoothed this bike out...does this bike need it? no. am I sorry I spent $250 on this? not at all. It's really smoothed it out and increased the driveability around town. do I notice any more power? no, my notoriously inaccurate seat of pants dyno is quiet. using the akra slip-on map with a micron muk63.

If you're using the autotune, the 12 volt/ground hookup is mandatory. The others are not. The autotune is restricted to a 20% change in fuel at any one point, then you need to hit "autotune" in the program and accept the offsets. This will add them to the map and zero out the offset table. I've accepted the offsets about 3 times, and each time it runs better.
