I am fortunate to have a good friend who is very talented at designing and making custom parts. I wanted to show off the highway pegs he designed and made for me prior to a trip I took to Yellowstone (3,200 miles round trip and they worked great...I don't know how I could have made the trip without them.) I just added my own cheap pair of off the rack pegs to the custom brackets. I may upgrade those at some point to something that looks a little nicer.

I even had a group of Harley guys stop and admire the "engineering" that went into them (and we all know Harley guys don't typically even glance at a Japanese bike. Poor guys don't know what they're missing.)

I hope the attachments work. This is the first time I've tried to add attachments to a thread.

They've done an absolutely beautiful job :thumb: ..i have the H & B Bars and I'm thinking of sticking a set of pegs on them, as I tend to suffer from riders hip after more than an hour in the saddle.

You know, I probably only used them 10 to 15% of the time, but it was so nice to be able to stretch the legs out for 5 or 10 minutes at a time, and them return my feet to the stock pegs which is a comfortable riding position for me. What I hadn't counted on is how the highway pegs changed the pressure points on my rear, and gave me some relief in that respect too. I did one stretch of probably 300 miles where I never got off the bike (just added fuel once while sitting on the bike.) I've done 700 to 800 mile days before, but never 300 without a dismount.

Wow! Really nice work. Let me know if your friend needs any more friends! Or even a paying customer. Need a little custom work done my self...

We talked about the fact that other people might want them if I posted pictures out here, and he said he would possibly be interested, though he didn't really have a price in mind at that point.

I'll drop you a private message with his email address. I'm a little hesitant to post it here and get him innudated with emails out of the blue. I'll check with him and try to get his permission to post the email address here on the thread.

That is a guy's FJR that is doing the Iron Butt rally. Fuel cell and holders for the water tanks. I need a nice 6 gallon aux cell and mounting system.

Great Iron butt coverage over on the FJR forum (http://www.fjrforum.com/forum//index.php?showtopic=121167).

Tell your friend to crank out a few sets, he would surely sell them here in a minute. I would be interested. As long as the price is reasonable. I'm not sure I would leave them on all the time. Maybe just install them for long trips. Either way, a very nicely engineered piece.

Sambamboo, here's my H&B's with highway bars. I had some old chrome clips off my Valkyrie, I sprayed black and bought the stock Versys pegs off someone on this forum.
