The Versys has not made it to the Golden state yet but I am very interested in it. I was thinking of it today as I changed the oil on my ZR-7S. How easy are the oil changes on this bike? Are there fairings to remove? Are the pipes in the way? Is the filter internal or cartridge style?

Changing the oil is very easy on the Versys. No fairings in the way, the filter is easy to get to, though some oil from the filter does spill on the pipe below it. Its the screw-on-from-the outside-like-a-car type. The oil drain bolt is very accessible. Its a ten minute job.

Oh, and welcome to the site!!

I am used to the pipes being undr the bolt. THe ZR-7S is like that and I wrap the pipe with aluminum foil. Thanks for the reply.
