Hello Everybody.

I just came back from the dealership. My Versys 650 arrives home on Tuesday. The is a working bike for me since I plan to commute every day 27m each way until the first frosty morning (around November).

I plan to put some serious mileage on this feller so any advice on up-keeping will be welcome. I read somewhere that if you are tall the bike seat is rather low (I'm 6'2''). Any advice on how to prop-up the seat? I read somewhere that a gel-pad can help.

There are options. You can always go the custom route with corbin, sargents & seat makers like that. I believe Kawasaki has a hi gel seat as an accessory. One of our members did his own mod, not really a make-it-taller mod, but more of a repositioning mod. here's a link:

Well, the bike is getting delivered today. I still don't have a helmet. The dealer's models did not click for me so I tried online helmetcity first and the dorks took my order later to reply that it was back ordered. Now I'm trying motorcycle-superstore from CA and they took my order but It has not even shipped!

I picked a kbc red helmet.

I'm might have to stare at the darn thing through the weekend!
Or maybe I'll just cancel the damn order and get a not-so-great helmet at some local place.
