: Versys for sale in Michigan
Brock 06-14-2008, 02:18 PM I hate to get rid of such a great bike!!! Unfortunately, my tinnitus is getting
worse and even with ear plugs and a full face helmet, the noise bothers me.
I bought the bike at the beginning of May. Only 322 miles and not a single blemish
anywhere on the bike. There is no difference between my bike and a brand new one
except part of the break-in is already done :). I changed the oil after 100 miles
just to make sure there were no metal shavings in it for the duration of the
break-in period. No farkle except some mirror extenders. $5800
Update: I now have a Kawasaki rear trunk and mount that goes with it. It was
on order and finally came in.
Bear on a bicycle 06-14-2008, 07:32 PM Hate to see you go, Brock! We hardly new ye! Its a shame about the hearing issues. I know it can drive you crazy. Good luck with the sell & the tinnitus!!

Thanks. Yeah the tinnitus does drive me nuts sometimes, so I don't want to do anything that gets my ears going. I even wear earplugs in my car now. Tire noise seems to be really abrasive.

Gatorman 06-25-2008, 02:03 PM I'm looking for a used Versys but I'm in Colorado Springs, CO. Got any ideas on getting the bike here without shipping it (eg. trailer, friend, etc.). If so I am very interested.

WET!!! 5 minutes after leaving your place hit light (then heavy) rain for the next hour and a half. Dried out during the rest of the trip to Indianapolis, Indiana. Same thing this morning leaving Indianapolis heading for St. Louis(except was smart enough to put on the rain gear right when it started this time). What a shock, it's a bit different than the 2001 GoldWing 1800. Still felt comfortable enough to hit the twisties around St. Louis before heading to the house. Bike is everything Brock said it was. Great transaction.
PS: hope the ink was dry on those $100 bills as I forgot to print them out until the last minute.
Brock 07-09-2008, 11:46 PM Glad to hear you made it back OK.

I'm sure the ink was dry... otherwise the bank would not have accepted them. ;)
Hey Brock, Sorry you had to sell it; I also just got tinnitus and my doctor told me to take Vastarel MR to oxigenate my ears. Been taking it for a couple of days now and it has gone down a bit (no riding or anything 'till it gets better).
Just thought that maybe you should look into it because my cadiologist has had it for 15 yrs and did not try this med (told abt it but you know how we are, lazy) and said he will try it as well. I am going to fight till the end because I don't want to give up riding at all.
Let us know how it goes and again, sorry abt the sale, hope you can get back in the swing real soon.
Cheers
