: Question about saddlebags...

So I really liked the saddlebags that I used on my last bike trip in Europe but they appear to be a BMW special and I was wondering if anyone knows if something similar exists for the Versys, I am picking mine up today from the dealer and I am not a big fan of the Givi style cases.

Looking at the ones in the picture does anyone know if you can get these or similar ones?

They look great don't they. I like the low top box. I don't know much about them aside from that I like 'em!

:welcome: Hawkbox,

Checking Hepco and Becker (HB), maybe it's the Gobi Black.
http://www.hepco-becker.de/_eng/frameset.php

From the BMW F800GS pics, HB have the Lock-It system for the BMW F800GS.

Lookup HB Lock-it system for the Versys in their website.
The lock it system is the frame where the hard boxes sit.
You have to conform with the HB dealer if the Gobi Black sits well with the Versys Lock-it frame.
Using the Versys Lock-it frame but with the Junior 30 liter bags.

:goodluck:

I swear you are a god amongst men and I take back all those bad things I said about you. ;)

Much appreciate the help. I honestly want exactly what is in that picture bike and all but paying twice the price is just not really an option for poor little me. :D

Edit: Speelign!!

Why not get boxes that don't have a big dent in the back side, that limits capacity :P. I don't know why BMW does that, make a 35 liter bag 28 liters by putting something in the way.

I meant more in the look and the opening off to one side rather than the middle, not the whole BMW does funny things with the back of the case. ;)

I'll investigate the Trax boxes.

Hi Hawkbox,

Those HB boxes are ACES but pricey.
Got to say those Trax 45 liter also look good but not sold here.

Good Luck with your find.
