Does anyone have experience changing out the bar end weights to help minimize vibration on the mirrors? As a related question, how much do the Versy's weights weigh?

Thanks!

I changed my bikes weights last year for heavier units, I Posted on this forum the actual stock weights. If you do a Search you should find the information. I remember the stock weights are actually pretty heavy. There are manufacturers that make heavier units however. I noticed a slight difference in the mirror viability after swamping my out.

I've ridden with & without the weights. The difference was hardly noticeable. I can't imagine heavier weights making much of a difference either...

I tried sv650 weights. didn't work. stock weights plus a 6" steel spike siliconed into the end of the bar finally did it. I use protaper atv-mids w/the crossbar removed (lessens the left side vibes). the z1000 mirrors vibe less, too.
As you can see, there are at least 2 camps on this forum...the "what vibes?" group and the "4-5k buzz" group...I have yet to read about anyone saying aliens are taking over their handlebars and making them buzz, though.......

I added hand guards which meant taking OFF the weights. Haven't noticed ANY problems! :thumb:

I have purchased some fat aluminum pro-taper bars that will get installed once I get the appropriate RoxRiser to allow use of the fat bar. From what I understand, the aliens have severe allergic reactions to the aluminum.

Relatedly, are there any bar end weights designed to fit into the small diameter pro-taper bar ends? Hanguards? Or am I going to have to cobble something together?
