I turn 100 miles old yesterday on the way home from work... so far, here is what I think..

Smooooooth... this bike is so smooth it's crazy and it's getting better by the day as I get use to the transmission/clutch nuances.

Plenty of power, probably a touch more then I need, but it's nice to know it's there when I need it. To go along with the power, the brakes are crazy good... plenty of stopping power.

Great visibility in traffic... I'm sitting so high I could be on a mid-sized horse at times... I think I actually might sit a touch higher then I do in my SUV.

The only con I've noticed so far is the heat, and I think others have mentioned it. When you are stopped or slow down a bit you can really feel the heat from the engine... I guess I just need to keep going :)

All in all, I couldn't be happier with this bike... it's a work of art.

Perfect time to do that first oil change.

Have you ever ridden an air cooled bike that is heat when you stop.

should I change the filter too, or just the oil?

Yes do the filter. Stop a wally world and get a Super Tech oil filter ST3717.
I'am sure they built the bike well but you want to get rid of the break in debris. I changed mine at 500 and 1000.

what oil do you recommend and is it possible to do without wheel stands?
