I'm here in Dover.

Also watch out for jnor he causes trouble over at the Ride Ohio forum and has a tendency to upset the HD guys there.:devil::devil::devil::devil::devil:

jnor, I think I seen you on your bosses, (Mrs.), Versys a few weeks ago on SR36 around Coshocton.

I live in Youngstown. I ride my V as much as I can to work. Don't like to ride on interstates so I trailer the bike to places to ride. I've had the bike for about 2 months and we've been to Allegheny National Forest 4 different times. But I haven't been anywhere near Akron.

I'm from Ohio but moved to Houston , TX 3 years ago. I miss it everyday. Seeing the pictures in the thread above make my heart ache. I'm praying that the economy heads north again soon so I can return. Long live Ohio.....the best riding country in the lower 48.

Cincinnati here. I have seen exactly no other versys in Ohio since I bought mine in April.
Do they exisit or is it a myth?

I just did a 3000 mile loop through the adirondacks and the appalachains - including tail of the dragon -I saw ducatis, moto guzzis, triumphs, bmws - but no other versys.

I had the first one in Stark and Tuscarawas counties that I knew about in '07. I'm fairly sure it was jnor I seen in Coshocton a while back and there is another one I seen here in Dover at the ball park and going down Wooster avenue.

Last year I talked to three guys at Vintage Motorcycle days, two were from Ohio, and the other from Indiana. This year two fellows, one on a green and the other on a blue. Then I talked to one of the reps at the Kawasaki demo rides today and he admitted to owning a black one and only grinned when I asked him if he sneaked it out of Canada.

So they are showing up, also my preferred mode of travel is the Versys. That is probably why I see a few of them.

How about at the MPFB 12 in Marietta? You have to be an MSTA member to attend but new members get a free 1 year MSTA membership with their paid event registration. Saves a lot of planning...

Click here (http://www.sporttouring.us/content.php/157-Mail-Pouch-Fly-By-Marietta-OH) for more info on the event.

Maybe we'll have to wait till next year, given the notice required to maximize the number of riders. Anything in SE OH is GREAT riding. Maybe in June next year ?

Maybe put it in the main section of the website (or at least a link) to attract max interest.

You know an Ohio meet would be great. A nice place to meet up would be at the old Dennison Cantina and Railroad museum. From there a run down SR800 will take you to some fantastic roads for riding.

However, I need a new Versys before then.

That would work for me :thumb: If either of you know the roads down that way, that would be great! I've wanted to ride the area because of all that I've heard. I wouldn't mind meeting up with some northeastern's for the ride down. I would probably make it an overnight since it's a little far for me to do in one day. Maybe set a date to shoot for in June?

New Versys owner in Lexington Ohio by the Mid Ohio sports car course. Havn't seen another Versys out ther but vintage and super cycle weekend at the track are comming up. Maybe a Versys get together on one of those weekends?

Super Cycle weekend is July 8,9,10. Vintage weekend is July 22,23,24. Both are a great time.

Excellent idea ! Don't know if I'll be free from work obligations during that timeframe, but if I am, I'm in.

Pick a time and a meeting place. Having been to both events many times, Vintage Bike has a more mellow (read:mature) crowd and overall vibe, but Superbike has the best.....ahhhh....scenery. (IYKWIM)
