Finally got round to fitting swing arm spools to the V. My previous prop stand using a 10mm bolt through a plastic pipe was obsoleted!

Built this using old plastic pipe, old oak towel rail and some other 'stuff' lying around. Its lighter, bit smaller and works like a charm for lubing the chain away from home.

Cinch the wire tie up over the spool with the elastic band, stops it falling off when you push the bike over on the kick stand.

I noticed you also have Speedy's flat foot for the kickstand. This addition to greatly increase my confidence when parked.

What is that "Y" with the zip tie that the spool sits in? Where did you find that?

Kinda looks like a connecting rod. Machog?

When I bought my Vista cruise throttle lock years ago, it came with two sizes of handle bar mount (one for metric one for HD).

Its front side of that, with a hole drilled out and screwed into a bit of dowel jambed into the plastic pipe. It looks exactly like a small connecting rod!

You can see it here in the top left. Looks like they sell them either metric or HD these days, you don't get both.
