I'm looking for a spare set of wheels, I really want the rear and would take the front if the price was right.

Yeah me too, I am about to do a lot of pavement and dont want ruin my distanzias or keep paying mount and balance fees to swap tires on the stocker rims. You have any luck yet (obviously not here) with any other solutions?

Zero luck. I don't know what to do. I guess maybe start calling salvage yards and try to find some. I'm sure there are a few wrecked Versys out there. Or at least a few rims of the same size. I wonder how universal they are? I may look into that.

I am dying to know how oyu like the Distancias? How are they on the pavement, twisties? Dirt?

Love em, grip great on pavement, better on dirt (well my only other experience was the stocker Dlops). Little pricey and not the best of wear (about 5k rear mostly hard riding dirt and street), but all smiles on the performance. My tires are the least of worries even in the wet stuff.

I have been paying under 200 USD for purchase and mounting/balancing the rear, and about 130 for the front. One thing to remember Avon dosen't make these in two compunds for the 17's. Only the supermoto soft stuff. This is why I need a road solution for the fall season in which I do a lot of travelling due to my hobby/work.

Here is a pic of the tire at about 4500k on the tire. The last 500k I actually wore down the tire to patches in the center, but evened out the wear in the chicken strips here in WNC. If you look in close you can see the rubber coming off in the center after a 240 mile ride in the south carolina heat in July.
