I run a pharmacy in a small town in NE Arkansas.

My wife & I ride road bikes & mountain bikes on the weekend.

I practiced martial arts for about 17 years but have been out for the last couple of years. It took longer & longer to heal after injuries occurred.

Aircraft airframes mechanic. Currently working in the Quality Assurance shop for a contractor attached to a USMC AV8B Harrier training squadron. Kind of funny, it's the same job I trained for in 1979 (AV8A Harrier). Retired Marine, eight year auto parts store manager, auto mechanic, now back where I started.
My non riding spare time is all spoken for by a spouse that tolerated too many active duty deployment ridden years in the Corps. (Read: Honey do list from Hades) Guess I'm just lucky she likes to ride too.

I live in Las Vegas and work in (SURPRISE) a Casino and hate it. I worked for the cable company doing new construction for years and loved it but when the housing market slowed down, I either needed to find a new job or I'd be looking at unemployment.

In my spare time, I play music (drums, guitar, bass) with a couple different groups that are all trying to make it and I work with a small film production company and help in all aspects.

I get the feeling that's all gonna be going out the window though as the wife and I are expecting our first child in October.

I'm a Business Applications Developer and Technology Lead for the Thomson Reuters Corporation. I've been with the company 13 years - going on 14. I started in Los Angeles working as a Technical Consultant, then moved to Atlanta and finally ended up in Rochester, New York.

When I'm not riding or thinking about riding - I'm learning to play guitar, I hike with my three dogs and I enjoy camping. When it's too cold or snowy outside I also enjoy video games and reading.

I see several Avionics Techs on the forum. I served in the US Air Force from 1987 unti 1991 and was Avionics Communication Technician for the C141B Starlifter. That was the best job I ever had.

I live in two cities - Niagara on the Lake, Ontario Canad and I have an apartment in Rochester, New York. Sometimes I do ride my bike to Rochester for my required once a week office visit.

Looks like a great bunch of people on the forum. Very interesting reading about what we do to finance our ambitions.

Currently working at probably the biggest ISP in South Africa, enjoying it so far :p, much more relaxing than my previous job :D

In my spare time we go 4x4'ing and camping whenever we can. Surfed for 14+ years, been out the water now for around 2 years....soon be back in the water again :D:D Used to MTB, currently bike is gathering dust in the garage :( Tried out sandboarding in January.... aparently not the sport for me  (Some injury details on my site... still can't remember )

Found out last week we are 6 weeks preggers :D:D (After struggling almost 2 years and being told by dr's it wont be possible without expensive implants), so let's hope and pray that soon my "other" activities include being a dad :D

Human Resources for a school district. I ride to work, ride home for lunch, ride back to work, ride home for the evening. Then I try and ride around in the evenings. Then ride a lot on the weekends.

A newbie's gotta learn and put in the extra time!

When not riding on the weekends, I'm on the coast finishing a cabin on a lake. I'm starting to realize I'm working on it more than enjoying it... riding to and from has been fun the past couple of weekends!

Currently working full time at Lees Bicycles in Tulsa, OK as a mechanic and salesperson. I am also an undergrad at OSU currently studying Mechanical Engineering with hopes of obtaining my degree in roughly 3-4 semesters with an emphasis in design engineering/ material science. I raced bicycles at the national level for about seven years. Three of which were on a very well known Elite Amateur Cycling Team based out of Fort Smith, Arkansas. In my spare time (whenever that is) I, along with my wife, ride motorcycles , rockclimb, enjoy dabbling in carpentry and of course ride bicycles of all denominations.

OK, I'm a career firefighter nearing the end of his career. Currently a Captain in a city of about 80,000. My 2 sons are now working for me, sooooo they finally have to do what I tell them. It's about time! I get a lot of time off and don't work any second jobs these days so I have a lot of time for riding and wrenching. I also camp a lot when travelling on the bikes. Life has been good to me and I enjoy every day! - Jeff

I retired almost 4 years ago as a power plant operator on my 50th birthday.

Kawasaki hired the wife and I a couple years ago and we both work the demo rides around the country and I work the IMS shows during the winter.

My sons and I are land speed racers and we were the first father and sons to set a motorcycle record over 200mph in the nation.

We love riding, traveling & camping.

Hey DarcyM,
Thanks for the note. Our folks always like to hear the demos help out since quite a bit of money is spent to provide the rides.
I'll pass your info along to them.
Enjoy the Versys..........they are great bikes.

Coming up on year 35 as a music teacher in a Jr/Sr Hi in Pa. Play trombone in a couple local bands - hence my reason for trying to come up with a trailer for the V. The car and the jeep can stay at home in the summer!! Also have a 42 military jeep which is slowly being restored. Am a Ski and Snowboard instructor at a local mt. as well in the winter.
You name it, I probably do it to a certain extent. Tennis, kayaking etc, etc.
This is my first motorcycle. After my son bought one last spring I decided to take the safety course to see if I would like it. I did - on both counts. Patiently waiting for the weekend work at the mountain to stop and the roads to get clear of all the winter "junk".

Ummm, lessee... a life-long backpacker, climber, mtn. biker, former triathlete (lost 70% of the meniscus in my left knee and had to quit if I planned to continue backpacking), wildlife photographer, competed in martial arts tournaments for about 15 years, kayaker, and distance cyclist. I raced in motocross, enduro and flat track in the 70s, but gave it up when my daughter came along.
Outdoor stuff comes first in my life, biking second but gaining fast. I collect track casts while backpacking, mostly from grizzly and wolf (hence the "griztrax" website.) That's a lot of fun and gives me a chance to get into some really wild country. I used to ski, but there are only so many hours in the day. Does beer drinking count as a hobby or a necessity?

Errrrrr.. fine ok!!!
Started in notes development, went on to Linux Sysadmin/application support (web servers, mysql, db2 and some websphere) for the last 8 years. Add video editing/production to that (all concurrently at the same company).

I suck at DIY projects when it comes to cars and bikes but was able to drill rivets and maintain the air frame on c-141s (served in 2 branches USMC and USAF). Crew Chief? Bleh felt more like a tire changing monkey - did that more than anything... anyone ever see multiple disc brakes on planes?

I waste too much time gaming (gears of war 2 on xbox live, killzone 3 on ps3)

On the side... I'd LIKE to make money with photography and electronic music production. Oh... Film is also an interest but those RED cameras are too expensive for a hobby.

After 7 years in the RCAF and CAF flying Hercules transports all over the world (including several wars, Viet Nam in '70 and '73, and Egypt in '73 come to mind...), I "transferred" to Air Canada where I flew for 30 years (DC8, DC9, B727, L1011, B767, AE319, AE320, AE330 and AE340, my last airplane) for a total of 20,000 hours (that's 2 years 3 months airborne!). :thanx:
I ran a Triumph 650 fuel drag bike before the airforce, raced enduros in the mid-70s, got very competitive in long-range pistol shooting (was second overall in IHMSA Canadian champs in '86), and photography.
Love camping and hunting, and I'll be off to Alaska on my 3rd trip, June 25th, but on my KLR as we're going to Inuvik, camping all the way! :goodidea:

I just voted on the age poll so I figured I'd bump this with a post as well.

I'm 24yo, from Greece, and I work as a web developer/designer/manager. Working for a company that has several websites (e-shops, social networks, online catalogs). I find it to be a bit boring, I'd prefer working on my own projects and I'm about to finish one of 'em. The cool thing about the developing deal is that it's easier to find a job abroad which I'm really interested in. So if anyone wants a chubby greek developer, I'm in! :hia:

Ideally, I'd like to work in the film industry which I love and the few times I helped a friend as a steadicam assistant I loved it despite all the hard work. A great job would also be traveling with a bike and writing about it ;).
