The MUK63....it's an EU legal can that weighs about half as much as the stock can, but is just a bit louder....I tried the cherry bomb and it was way too loud for my taste....I was just about to buy the leovince when I saw Invader's mention of this can in the exhaust thread from hell (the long one). Apparently, this was micron's last can for the ninja650 before it went out of business, and though most distributors didn't get it and don't know anything about the part #, these guys bought out the stock and damn if it isn't priced right. If you're looking for a can on the stealthy side, check it out.

Wow!-Looks like a stripped down oem or a cherry bomb with a side exit outlet styled like the oem. Interesting tho. Difffinitely a lot diff than my muzzy!!

Micron Exhaust Technologies Ltd (http://www.micronexhausts.com/) is alive and well in the UK, where the MUK63 is still listed for ER6. They also offer # PCK63/O aluminum canister slip-on, # CTK63/O titanium canister slip-on, # HYDK63-SS-AO Serpent superlight pipework/polished aluminum oval race system, and # HYDK63-SS-TO Serpent superlight pipework/titanium oval race system: Micron-North America/Ninja650R (http://store.micronexhaust.com/index.php?make=Kawasaki&model=ER650%20-%20Ninja%20650R)

Are fuel adjustments required? (http://micronexhaust.com/faq.php/70)

glad to hear micron is still a going concern in the UK. Their hydroformed stuff looks crazy! The above info was given to me by micron north america (reorganized company?) about this pipe (I don't see it listed on the micron NA site). rejetting not required, but like all slip-on's, and maybe even the stock pipe, a juice box, pc, etc. wouldn't hurt. For those of you who may not rejet, click on the link in invaders post and it sums it up well.

the guys are morepowerracing.com told me the pcV will finally be in on 6-12, btw.

Actually, the stock fuel curve is typically lean mostly near 2800 rpm where most experience a lean bog, and again around 4500-5000 rpm, but nothing drastic even with a slip-on. A/F ratio is then progressively too rich in the upper rev range. Idealy, you're looking for about 13.3:1 (10% richer than stoichometric) air to fuel ratio across the rev range at wide open throttle, and about 14.7:1 (stoichometric) normal driving. Note the bottom line on the dynamometer chart depicting A/F ratio at WOT on a Ninja 650R with Arrow slip-on exhaust and no fuel management... A Power Commander enables you to correct A/F mixture for better low end tractability and torque, and for a slight increase in maximum power, for any stock or modified setup, with available maps or custom dyno map.
13.3:1 (10% richer than stoichometric 14.7:1) delivers the most torque, as depicted in SAE's Excess-Air Factor graph. Best fuel economy is had at about 10% leaner than stoich. Top curve "M" shows torque. Maximum is just on the left of small blue arrow at 0.9 of stoich. Curve "b" shows specific fuel consumption. Lower curves are emissions...

the sound quality on my cam isn't good at all, but it's something. Just slightly louder than stock (lower frequency) and has a cool sound on decel.

you can still get them here for $220
