Hi fellow riders
I am from Quebec, Canada. I am located south of Montreal and not far north from Platsburg, NY
I decided to take on riding last autumn. After taking the mandatory riding class, I did my riding exam and purchase the Versys two days after. At that point I had about 3 hours of riding experience.
I looked at a few bikes like the V-Strom, Bandit, ST-1100, Z1000, KTM Adventure. I wanted a touring bike that was okay for everyday riding. I went for the Versys for the light weight, good price and the look. If I had to replace my bike, I would likely go for the Versys again.
I rode my bike until mid-November and then it really got too cold. I got my bike out this march and rode it as soon as the snow melted. I have done over 8000km (5000 milles) so far.
I am planning a few longer trips. I have installed two Kawasaki (Givi) side case.
Other things that I am looking to put on my bike:
Larger Windshield (currently I have the Standard Kawasaki wind deflector)
Small tank bag
Fork mounted driving lights
Tire Hugger (for the look)
