So I have been looking for a helmet holder for when I stop at a rest stop or somewhere. Anyone have any suggestions other than taking it in with you.

So I have been taking my friend around on my versys. after he gets off for work or whatever I am stuck with the helmet. I usually just bungee it to my back seat but its annoying and usually dose not hold "only one bungee" Is there a CHEAP way to hold the helmet and have it secured? I rely don't care to much about the bungees.

I was looking for a tail bag and cam across this joe rocket tail bag designed for a helmet & other stuff.http://www.newenoughhp.com/pricing/private/1301

Have you tried a "bungee net"? They are cheap, and they work just fine.

I think what you are looking for is a cargo net. I got cheap bell motorcycle cargo net from Wal*Mart last year. http://www.sbstx.com/ebay/cargonet1.JPG
It was less than $10. I like the net jruh suggested because it has it's own attached pouch and takes up much less room than the bell net. If I was in the market for a tailbag the Joe Rocket bag looks good to me. If I were you I don't know how I'd feel about taking off the seat to strap on and off the tail bag fairly frequently. Another option is the Helmet Guardian (http://www.twistedthrottle.com/trade/productview/3864/652/). Personally I'm rather skeptical of this solution. I don't like the idea of having a helmet hanging off the license plate while I ride.

I rely love that joe rocket pack the only problem i see with it is what to do with it when i have a second person on the back with me. Looks like the cargo net will be what I am going to get thanks for the help. I am however going to order that joe rocket anyway I love the look and its cheap. Thanks for the info guys.

I have the Helmet Guard also. Very useful and it's lockable.
