Just got a new CKX tranz helmet:thumb:. I had never heard or seen these until I pop in to the dealer for an maintenance stop (these become expensive when you snoop around while waiting). This helmet is very nice, modular, integrated sun visor and it comes in summer or winter model. The winter model is the same as the summer, but has a chin curtain, nose cone (like a jet fighter helmet) and double anti-fog shield (or optional elcetric shield) all removable. I got the winter model so I could use it summer and early spring and late fall.
The price is really good, sub $200 monopoly money (canadian funds).
Here the only link I could find: http://www.kimpex.com/flyrbrwsr.php?fid=ckxtranz

Looks like a helmet targeting snowmobilers (double lens is good winter riding, especially if you opt for the electrically heated one).

cool looking helmet that's for sure.. I wo
nder how it compares to the SYmax or other modulars, keep us updated on how you like it!
What I'm especially curious about is wind noise, as this seems to be one of the biggest problems with modulars...

Hey Gustavo, one step ahead of me. They have a snowmobile version (aka winter) and motorcycle version (aka summer). The only difference being the breath guard and double lens. Also the winter version has a yellow sunvisor where the summer has a tinted. All lens are changeable between summer and winter version et the guards are removable.
As far as I have tested it so far it is quieter than my CL-MAX, but again the fit of the CKX seems to better on my head than the CL-MAX.
I will post again when I have tested further
