How many of you have bought a bike online & had it delivered? How'd it work out for you? Any advice?? Is it worth the hassle & risk?

I have. Bought one from the owners of Aprilia Forum (AF1 Racing in Texas) and had it shipped to me in SoCal . Great price and deal. Shipped via Forward Air. No problems whatsoever, though it's not the way to go if you need instant gratification. If the dealer has a good reputation and has no problem shipping it (i.e., they've done it before and take care of it without any nonsense), I say go for it.

I sold a bike to a guy in Texas and he had it shipped to him. I asked him about it and he said it went very well.

Used motorcycleshippers.com and have had pretty good success...did get my windshield broken on my last bike shipped but insurance picked up the tab...free $7000 insurance...best thing that happened...the guy i bought it from was very particular and took pictures as it was loaded on truck and that sealed the deal on insurance claim. I think i have had probably 8-10 bikes shipped through them and that has been my only claim.

I did buy a bike on-line (ebay) and had it shipped to me....sort of.
I live in Hawaii, but the Versys I bought was in New Jersey. I flew to NJ, picked up the bike and rode it back to San Diego where I ultimately shipped it back home to Hawaii.
The shipping arrangements were made with PASHA, and they were GREAT! No problems at all. I did the whole thing online with only one verification phone call.
