I think were looking at the end of the American way of life as we all have known it. This is just the tip of the iceberg. The walls are collapsing on an already hollowed out economy. Very scary.

We survived the great depression, we survived the crash in 87. Don't go all chicken little just yet.
By definition our economy is not even in recession levels yet.

Our younger audience doesn't remember when a good loan rate was 11%-12% for cars, homes and other things.
They don't remember a time when banks required a 10% down payment on a home loan.

This will pass. The economy runs in phases, and nothing stupid economists or politicians can do will keep it from fixing itself.

Now they say AIG has another trip planned. It is time to put an end to it.
