Got the hugger from Twinshack in England

http://www.twinshack.co.uk/prods/126.html

I believe it is the same as the one made / offered by Poly26 in France.

Painted it myself ( got a colour match done on the paint and a spray can made up). I am not very skilled at painting. It turned out ok.

Very easy to install. Would definately recommend lock-tite on the bolts as I lost the 2 orginals whilst riding. ( you will need on extra M6 bolt)

Got the Ermax undertail from an Motorcycle Parts importer in Quebec.

This one had to be painted as well. Went with an industrial grade flate black topped off with a clear reflective coating spray.

This one was a PIA as the signal light needed to be mounted ( ie., holes drilled through the plastic and position in place).

Also, I could not find the connectors for the wiring and I did not want to cut the stock connectors so I crimped and soldered some pin and spade connectors. Had to reverse the wiring after the first attempt because the LEDs will only work when wired properly (++, --, I think?)

Also, had to bend the license plate mount. I managed to screw this up (it is angled a little, thankfully not notiecable). The license plate mounting holes did not line up with the holes on my plate ( I did try the mounting bracket from the stock fender, but pushed the plate in front of the plate light), so I drilled a couple of new holes in my license plate.

All said and done, I am satisfied with the look of bike.

I picked up the Cherry Bomb muffler from NAPA Autoparts they got it from Zoro Muffler and got the connecting adapter pipe from Canadian Tire (like a PEP Boys). I struggled with Muffler tip. I tried to have one custom made but it was too much back and forth to the muffler shop, so I orderd a tip ffrom Versys08 on the forum. This job was not that easy for me. I lost the custom tip a couple of time and the muffler separated from the header once. I did finally get all secure and have put on about 3000 KM without any problems with the muffler set up. I do love the sound of the bike now. I am still seriously considering going to the Arrow Exhaust System.

I now understand why it is called farkling.
Cheers,
Colin
