There is a breather pipe next to the side stand and although my bike has only done 4,000 miles it drips some oil from this pipe. Any ideas or knowledge of this please?

You might want to get it checked out at the dealer. I had an oil leak in that area. They replaced an oil filler tube.

I posted some pics earlier in the season ( i think it was titled oil leak)

If it's the one behind the shifter and attached to the side stand safety switch mount then it's the vent tube for the tank. If you have splashed any gas while filling your bike this is where it will end up.

orrrrrrrr you might be looking at chain lube that is dripping down the tube, or from around the area,.... my lube builds up in their and sometimes drips out, take off the sprocket cover and check it out
