Since I am only visiting in the Halton region of Ontario this weekend and my Versys is stored for the winter I was fortunate that I have a friend here that owns a couple of bikes. I have had a chance to ride the Honda VFR 800 once already but not the Honda ST 1300 and I gotta say it's the first time I rode something else since I got the Versys.

As much as I love the Versys I have to say that I would like to have a bit more power, just to have more comfort while riding on the highway. I don't know what I will do when I get back from Egypt next year but I think I will have to rethink the type of riding I will be doing and what bike I want to have from then on.

For some reason I can't get the pic to embed at the moment so here is the link to the picture of the VFR. Pretty smooth engine that has some extra oomph at around 7000 rpm.

I got to ride a VFR again last week. I almost bought one last year instead of the V. They are a great handling, well made, bike and IMO better than the Versys for pushing hard on an open road but I find the seating position uncomfortable at non highway speeds. Maybe bar risers would change that. The Versys wins in cut and thrust driving in city traffic though as well as leisurely cruising.
