Just found this on the madassarmy.com website and was in need of some information on parts, prices etc for my own steed.

This is extremely close to what I have in mind. I saw the "Bobber 250cc" bike on the web by Cleveland Cycle Werks and 2 other manufacturers, looks great and is a fun toy indeed at 250cc's. The seat is wicked and uses these rebound dampening springs:

Of course they are out of stock per the website but the information I need is on the actual welding of parts to the sachs seatpan to hook-up the special wide spring comfort seat. If you know Ratfink on the madassarmy.com website have him give this post a shout. Others are welcome to post info as well as information is greatly appreciated.
Here is the sub frame on the Madass:

From the different seats I have seen, the solo seat has a mechanism that attaches to the front and there are various kits on ebay that have the bar across to attach springs. The problem is the piece that sits on top of the subframe, that probably needs to be welded to attach the bottom end of the springs, depending on the width of your seat. My customization would be at the current time to keep the exhaust under the seat.
