Now that it's getting dark earlier it's time to light up the plate. After cutting the tail off and loosing the stock light I decided to make my own LED plate light.

Took about an hour and cost about $6.00 US at Radio Shack.
1) You will have to remove the seat and stop light to access the area under the tail light.
2) Drill a 1/4" hole in the location of your choice.
3) Install an LED snap in holder.
4) Solder a 660 ohm resistor to the long (positive) leg of the LED.
5) Solder the short (negative) leg to the black wire from the stock plate light pigtail and the resistor to the remaining wire.
6) Snap in the LED and plug in the connector, put the tail back on and viola your done!
