Plenty of time to plan this one out. Instead of trying to plan a national group ride I think we need to start with in state groups and then with those who do group rides regularly we can meet with others from other states then maybe a national meet. So Michigan what do you think? A northern Michigan weekend or maybe a meet for a lunch and ride.:feedback::cheers:

Possibly interested depending on the date. The classic ride from Harbor springs to Mackinac City via the lake Michigan shore is a favorite of many. I hope many others show an interest because I don't meet many Versys owners in my home area which Grand Haven.:yeahsmile:

lhwahl, that could be a place for us Michigan guys to meet. What is the date of that ride? There is about 50 here that admit to living in Michigan,10-25 would be a good turn-out. The Village of Stockbridge, Mi is a motorcycle friendly little town that holds some kind of motorcycle event most every weekend. If we get enough names I could mention that the "Versys Owners of Michigan" would like to attend one of their motorcycle events. During the summer there is a motorcycle show or event somewhere every weekend, I'm sure we can find a date and place to hook-up. Keep the ideas comeing.

Stockbridge sounds good to this eastsider.

During the last week of June 11th through the 18th, Julie and I will be camping at Sleeping Bear National Park.
And.....wait for it.....Julie is insisting I ride the bike up so I can enjoy M22 (etc, I will have to cross the 'Mighty Mac" while I'm up there too:D) for a couple days of our trip.
How cool is that:thumb::thumb::thumb:

Anyway....if some of the lads are gonna gather then....or some other weekend....I'm IN!!!

I've talked to someone involved in the planning of the Stockbridge motorcycle weekend events and Sunday May 1st is the first of the year. Meet up at 10am. "All Clubs Ride" All the different motorcycle clubs around the area are welcome. Michigan Norton owners, Metro Triumph riders, Vintage Japanese are a few clubs that will be there.

I'd be interested in a get together. I think a plan in place, and a date set would facilitate people bing able to plan around it.

Check out my post here. Not exclusive but a fun rally.

I would be interested ... Westsider here. Did a M22 ride last year. Would like to do it again and then catch M119 aka the Tunnel of Trees!

lhwahl - You ride a red V? Think I have seen you parked downtown a couple of times. I live in Spring Lake... I have a Blue V.

I live on the Michigan Ontario border ( Soo Ont to be exact) I did the tunnel of trees a few years back and really enjoyed it but am looking for more options for day trips in northern Michigan. I would like to stay to day trips and secondary highways the swister the road the better. If you have any suggestions our routes i would really appreciate the advice.

Weather forecast is looking good but windy so far. Please forgive the "I'm a transplant to this state" question, but is there a specific place in Stockbridge to meet up, or should I just ride around town until I see a bunch of funny looking bikes like mine? :D

Small turn-out today in Stockbridge, I guess some may have thought it would rain, turned-out to be a great day. Got to meet MN_Smurf and we got in a great ride around the Stockbridge area, as I remember I think we came close to Jackson as we passed through the prison area, Keith, a member of the Michigan Norton Owners, lead the way, got a little heavy on the throttle at times but the man is all of 63 and knows how to ride. We spooked up a couple turkeys and gave the right of way to a fresh family of Canadien Geese. I live pretty close to this area and had no idea how great the riding was there, I'll be taking that route more often this year for sure. Anybody else has an event or just wants to meet-up and ride, let it be known here. Keep the rubber side down and we'll see you later.:goodluck:
