: FOR SALE: Perfect 2009 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic
stevec9957 01-31-2011, 12:40 PM Hi Everybody: I have a mint ++ black 2009 Kawasaki Versys 900 Classic with about 500 miles for sale OR trade. I think a 2010 Versys would be more suited to my needs. I've added engine guards, leather engine guard wind protectors, a slight pull back riser, sissy bar with saddlebag protectors, rebuilt seat with gel by BitchinStichin, much louder horn, new Metzler ME 880 tires, K&N and a quick release Memhis Shades touring windscreen. This bike is ready to go and in perfect condition. It has been stored in a heated garage. The sale price is $4,500. Would prefer a 2010 Versys in like condition. Thanks for looking!

I see you have not been around cruisers much... He actually said leather engine guard wind protector. It should look something like this.

Maybe for old times sake, if you have crash bars, you could farkle a set on your Versys. Could be a big hit.:D

I beg to differ. I know crusiers and these are a slip on cover that fits perfectly over the hoop of the guard.

Haha.. I read right over that! I read it as Vulcan because I knew the 900 was a Vulcan. Glad you pointed that out!!
handkphil 03-03-2011, 04:16 PM Hmmm...very interesting thread. I have an '08 Versys, just over 2000 miles. Corbin seat, Givi taller windshield, satin-black hugger. Excellent overall condition. Oil changed at least 4 times since I bought it new in July of '08. The last two changes were with Amsoil full synthetic. This coming Saturday I'm having the local dealership install a brand new set of Pilot Road 2's. The stock tires have gotten a little too slippery.
Full disclosure: The bike was dropped at zero m.p.h. in a parking lot, as I was teaching my nephew to ride. He came to a stop next to me (I was on foot), put his foot down, and the bike slowly toppled over. I caught the bike about a foot off the ground, but the left bar weight got a very minor scuff as it touched down. That was the total damage to the bike - not another scratch anywhere. No repairs were necessary and no parts were replaced. No animals were harmed in the dropping of this Versys.
I reckon my bike is worth around $4500 too. Where are you located?
