sharrison56 07-17-2008, 09:33 PM Has anyone found an OEM parts supplier that actually keeps V parts in stock? Every place I have tried has to order the parts and then ship them to you...7 to 10 days. Dealers don't seem to keep many parts in stack either.
nvoelsch 07-17-2008, 10:26 PM Good luck with that, I hear ya! Parts are hard to come by yet... but just like any "new" thing, give it time and I'm sure they'll get more supply "nearby".
actar911 07-20-2008, 03:40 PM Has anyone found an OEM parts supplier that actually keeps V parts in stock? Every place I have tried has to order the parts and then ship them to you...7 to 10 days. Dealers don't seem to keep many parts in stack either.
Try Ron Ayers. They have all the parts for the Versys. Just look a the technical fiche and order the part
sharrison56 07-20-2008, 07:34 PM Every place I tried, including Ron Ayers was giving me 7 to 10 days for delivery which means that they have to get it from Kawasaki so that they can ship it. I found a local dealer so at least I can pick it up when they receive it. I am looking for someone that actually keeps V parts in stock.
antman325 11-09-2008, 07:26 AM Best prices on tires and other stuff. I love these guys.

buckthebushman 11-09-2008, 10:41 AM Thanks! Oxman, looks like they have some neat stuff!
oxman 11-09-2008, 11:31 AM Hey Buck ...... no problem , if you don't see what ya need just call Tony the owner and he's a resourcefull son of a gun and can get ya what ya need.
antman325 11-09-2008, 11:45 AM $304.00 for a set of the Bridgestone BT-016's? I just got those from Cycle Gear for $247.00 w/tax. They are even cheaper at Indysuperbke, like $225 a set. You can defenitely do better than your guys pricing.
oxman 11-09-2008, 03:01 PM ya those prices are all fine and dandy but but the time you convert our great canadian dollar to Us and add shipping & duty.......well .....Nuff said. It would be great to buy at us prices and pay just that . i bought lotsa stuff when our buck was at par and it worked out great .
antman325 11-09-2008, 04:51 PM Please forgive my stupidity Oxman. I totally forgot about the U.S.dollar/Canadian dollar deal. My bad. So how much would $304.00 Canadian be in U.S. dollars?
oxman 11-09-2008, 05:13 PM Hey No prob Antman, I think right now $304 Canadian would convert to about $245 US... give or take
antman325 11-09-2008, 11:05 PM $245 with free shipping...Now that works!:thumb:
buckthebushman 11-10-2008, 11:56 AM Yah! we do get "bent over the Desk" when ordering across the Border! I think I will make a trip down and "Farkle" on Hollidays next summer. Still have the conversion of $, but, save the Border charges which do add a lot. Still $304.00 isn't bad at all up here!
antman325 11-10-2008, 08:44 PM :thumb:
layfju 11-11-2008, 01:03 AM Great list! Does any one or two sites stick out the most? Meaning which two sells the most things for Versys's?

Just check them out for yourself I would say.
buckthebushman 11-18-2008, 04:33 PM I have always had good dealings with Happy Trails for my KLR, but, I like allot of you are a little suspect of thier Engine guards. The Paniers aren't even an option in my eyes for My V. I've been looking for good reports of different suppliers too, and it seems pretty hit and miss actually. Who has some good stories to tell about some of these vendors???

If your stateside, Powerbronze has a specifie price, and the prices aren't terrible (i.e., windscreen is $71.13ish after shipping, whereas buying from the retailr on ebay will put you at $83ish, plus they have different tints).

darcym 02-16-2009, 08:48 PM Stay away from Babbitt's Online. I tried to cancel an order after learning that I was paying $15 to ship a $5 part. Called and left messages because no one answered their online phone line, sent multiple e-mails, even though I tried to cancel within 24 hours of placing the original order (my fault for not looking at the bottom line, but jeez, what a rip-off!) All to no avail. I even called the regular parts store, but they wouldn't or couldn't do anything because they were separate from the online store.
The part did arrive about 5 days earlier than their estimate on the receipt, probably because they realized once I received the part it wasn't worth it to return it with their 15% restocking fee ... meaning I'd lose original S&H, my return postage, and get only $3.50 back.
actar911 02-17-2009, 07:22 AM Just updated the original post with all the new websites that were mentionned in this tread.
amir_zwara 02-21-2009, 02:09 PM Here's a UK builder/supplier that carries Radiator guards, crash bars, grab rails, and racks for the Versys. They seem fairly well priced as well, though I don't know what shipping from the UK to the US would be like.
*notice~ you can't find the Versys using the "find your bike/manufacturer option," but if you do searches for specific products they carry you can find that they have made a version of each for the Versys.

edited to add: it has been pointed out to me that these are NOT D.O.T. approved. So off road use only...lol

MHansen105 04-15-2010, 07:57 PM I was going to go to one of the sites listed here, when I needed a left cowling a year ago. But I mentioned this to my dealer's parts guy and he asked for a chance to match the price. I took in a couple of printouts with prices and lo an behold, he did match the price! So I was happy to give him the buisness.

Thanks for the props everyone.
When we last updated the site, the Versys link was removed.
Basically as far as OEM parts, I should be able to beat most, and match
even the lowest on-line prices.
Easiest way is if you can get me the part #.
As always, the best way to contact me is via e-mail.
