Hello all out there.

My name's David. I'm a film student in Savannah, GA. I bought my Versys on June, 24th. It's my first bike. I used to ride dirt bikes with friends when I was younger. My stepdad owned a Harley for 4 or 5 years - I probably put more miles on it than he did. Anyhow, I've never owned a bike before and am feeling pretty satisfied (thus far) with my choice of the Versys. *Prior to my purchase, I had a deal struck to purchase a lightly-used 2008 Triumph Bonneville.

I'm considering taking it on a trip soon and was curious about the following:

1) A more comfortable seat option?
2) Larger wind screen
3) Headphones - in ear/helmet/bluetooth....preferably something that would work with the iPhone

Thanks,
David

Welcome to the forum, we're glad to have you with us!

1) I'm taking my Versys to a shop in Maiden, NC to have my stock seat modified on October 25th. Once they see a complete bike in their shop, they are ready to have other customers send in just the seat for modification. The Corbin seat is an $$$ option as long as you don't plan to run luggage.

2) I have the Givi screen and the (obviously) the stock screen. Right now, I'm running no screen as the buffeting is zero. When the weather gets colder, I envision riding more with the Givi, although the buffeting for me is horrible. Some riders just lover theirs. Try to borrow one and see if you like it before you buy it.

3) Not sure, I always ride with ear plugs to protect my hearing. Calls can wait, one less distraction might save your bacon someday.

Thanks for the response Don! I'm glad to be here.

1) I've seen a few guys on the forums that have modded their seats. Looking at that as the cheaper alternative to alleviate the sore-scrote.

3) Not really looking to use the phone in transit, but rather as headphones / bluetooth communication device between riders on two or more bikes.

Good luck with the seat mod! I hope to see some pics and hear a review once it's done.
