Because I am interested the Great Divide route, I watched a documentary about it. The documentary was about riding on a mountain bike. Started to do some research for the route and found this Association's web site.
http://www.adventurecycling.org/routes/network.cfm
"Adventure Cycling's Routes & Mapping Department carefully links together rural roads to create low-traffic bike routes through some of the nation's most scenic and historically significant terrain."
The site has the divide route and a whole lot more interesting routes, including GPS files.
