Hello everyone! I had bought my bike to try to save some money on gas like everyone else. I’m not mechanically inclined at all. I live in northern jersey (Morris County) and most dealers are closed on Mondays and it’s my only day off. Can any one help me with a local mechanic that can change my oil and make sure i'm not running my bike to the ground without charging me an arm and a leg?

Why don't you chnge the oil yourself? It is really simple and there are pictoral instructions on this site. I just did mine yesterday morning before a 6 hour ride. Last week I went to a small shop that works mainly on HDs and they told me it would be almost $90 for an oil change with Syn Oil... that was crazy. i can get 2 litres of syn oil and oil filter for $35.

PS. you may need to invest in some tools if you don't already have them:
torque wrench
filter wrench or socket ( Just noticed the K&N filter already has a bolt mounted on it so the filter wrench may not be necessary)
these could cost you about $30

Chers,
Colin

Hey Addmadjrm - I'm over in Long Valley - did I see you yesterday on 46 west of hackettstown?

Anyway - Washington Cycle Works is a trustworthy shop if you need work done.
