redline 09-29-2010, 07:03 PM Sounds great! In the process of a new PAINT job...got sick of the red.....hopefully it'll be done in time.......
Bones 09-29-2010, 08:15 PM If we meet up sooner than 10:00, say 9:00, we'd have time to take back roads up over Amherst, cross the CT River at Sunderland, pull into Yankee Candle if someone needs a restroom break, then head up Rte 116 (weee!) to Ashfield, stop if time permits at Chapelbrook Reservation, then continue right into Williamsburg and Big Mamou.

glowcat13 09-29-2010, 08:57 PM Would there be any interest in meeting at say the mug and muffin on route 32 in monson for breakfast, its right next to a gas station if anyone needs to fuel up. lets say 8:30
redline 09-29-2010, 09:12 PM No problem here. Whatever you guys choose.

I've ridden past that place a hundred times and never went in. I usually subscribe to the 50-mile rule on breakfast runs so it's way to close. In this case, I could make an exception.

Tim I can understand its a long haul, days are getting shorter and much cooler, Mabey we can get together for one more ride somewhere up in vermont some where near half way for both of us even if its for just a short ride.
glowcat13 10-05-2010, 06:22 PM Ok lets plan on meeting at mug and muffin on route 32 in monson around 8:30 am.
I will probably just get coffee and a sandwich or bagel or something light.

glowcat13 10-10-2010, 04:38 PM Well it was A good day for A ride, but chilly this morning. breakfast was good, thanks Bob :thumb:. Bones lead the way and brought us down some great roads some I was familiar with, some I was not, all were really good. once again it was A pleasure riding with all of you, look forward to doing it again. only took A few pictures and they didn't come out that good sorry.

you made good time getting home Dave. Any problem finding brekenridge road?
Bones 10-10-2010, 05:14 PM It was 31 when I got up this morning but it warmed up to 33 by the time I left home. That icy patch from a badly aimed automatic lawn sprinkler got my attention but otherwise smooth (albeit cold) sailing to the Mug 'n Muffin where I met Bob, John and Dave for our western Mass fall ride. Amazingly, this is the first time I have ever ridden my Versys with another Versys rider...and there were three!
After breakfast we headed north and took a break at my favorite lay-by overlooking the Quabbin Reservation (but not the reservoir). From there we continued north to within a couple miles of New Hampshire, then curved back through state forest lands back south to just north of Amherst and found the LEO waiting on the S-curves (where there always seems to be a radar trap). West across the Connecticut River and then more twisties along MA116, Baptist Corner and Ashfield. We pulled into Big Mamou for a Cajun lunch about half past one. After a great meal we worked our way south and east to Ware (where?) where we started going our separate directions home.
Here are some photos from the day.
:exactly:
fosterit 10-10-2010, 05:33 PM No trouble at all finding it John, aside having to follow a slow cage all the way into CT! Nice photo editing Bones, I should have Bob print the H-D graphics for real! Then maybe they'll wave at me more :)
brothercannon 10-10-2010, 05:37 PM Nice pic's everyone, looks like it was a good ride. I wanted to make this ride but some things came up that required my attention. There's always next year.
Glowcat I'll only be able to ride on weekends until I build up some vacation time at, my new job. I'm still up for trying to squeeze in one last meet up for the season.
redline 10-10-2010, 06:00 PM HEY! Great ride guys. Almost 200 miles clocked. We have to do it again sometime. Glad to have met you Dave, and good to see John and Scott again. It's amazing that there were four "Versyi" there, and not one identical to the other. A myriad of farkles, each to ones own taste. Remember that if any of you need a heated garage to work on your "toy", I'll be happy to oblige. :)
Bear on a bicycle 10-10-2010, 06:23 PM Looks like you guys had fun!! Even had an HD guy with you!! Hahaha!!
