This wont hurt much

After much thought, but little action, i traded in my 08 Versys with Givi e41's for a used BMW 1150GS. I will miss the light weight, and acceleration of the Versys and the fuel milage ( average 52, best ever 63 ) I have really enjoyed this site, and think it is one of the best out there. I think the Versys is one of the best bikes out there, but i just kept running out of gears, and wanted something that could take on the gravel roads in my neck of the woods.(Colorado). The dealer had it sold before the deal was even done.
Thanks again to all the riders who contribute, and to Kawasaki for making a great motorcycle. I had 3450 on mine. the only problems were the the buzz, and the mirrors.

Enjoy the new bike and I'm sure you will have fun. I am sure you will miss the Versys, but it's fun to ride something different now and then.

Your thread brought back memories: when I was 'mugged out' of my RCAF squadron, and then again when I retired from Air Canada, they hand you a mug of beer and expect you to make a speech.
Both times I raised my beer in a saute to the "troops", took a sip, and said:

"Thanks for the memories!" and sat down.
