I don't know if anybody else is fascinated by the Vintage Motorcycle Cannonball Run (http://www.motorcyclecannonball.com/).
All bikes are pre-1916 and they are riding 5,265kms / 3,271m from Kitty Hawk NC to Santa Monica CA!
Talk about Iron Butts.

Any motorcycle is cool but when you ad vintage to it that bumps it up a few notches.
I just cant imagine having one of those old rare bikes and then putting thousands of miles on it. I would be terrified that some part would break that couldn't be replaced. Other then that it would be totally awesome.

This is great stuff! I love the older machines.
Not meant to hijack this thread, but anyone who might be interested in vintage racing might look up AHRMA for locations where road, motocross, dirt track and trials meets are being held. Most of the AHRMA events are populated with slightly newer machines than the cannonball, but really interesting never the less.
