If you've got any of the Givi soft luggage or have an opinion about their durability please let me know. I'm looking at the Voyager saddlebags, tailbag and tank bag. They look pretty solid to me and am wondering if they will mount well on the V.
Check out the Givi T421 Voyager saddlebags, T417 Voyager Tailbag, T429 Tankbag.
Cheers,
John

I don't know about the GIVI's but I've got RKA's and they work fantastic. My father also has a set that he's owned for around 14 years now and other than being a little faded from the sun, they're in great shape and still work like new.

Thanks for the reply Enemy Zero. After reading a ton of reviews I ended up ordering the Dowco Fastrax saddlebags and tailbag. They have lockable zippers and come with security cables, can't wait to get hold of them!
Cheers,
John

I've heard good things about the Dowco's and I'm sure you'll be happy with them. Now get out there and adventure on the V :D

Hello Jescycle,
I see that you bought the Dowco Fastrax saddlebags. I did also and am having a hard time fitting them They are too long so they either interfere with the turn signals, or the passenger foot pegs. How did you mount them? Perhaps you could be so kind to send me some photos, I would be very grateful
Thanks

Hi Steve, I did purchase the Fastrax bags and have only ever used the tailbag. You can fit a ton of s*%# in there and I never went on my 3 week excursion so the side bags are still new in the box.
From what I remember though, you will probably have to modify the placement of your turn signals. I'm pretty certain there was a post on here with a mod and straightforward instructions for mounting them up under the seat.
Good Luck & Happy Holidays!
John

Thanks for your kind reply Jescycle. I have a 2011 Versys, and it doesn't look like relocating the turn signals is an option. At this point, it looks like I will have to sell the Dowco bags and get something smaller. Very disappointing indeed since it cost me $50 to ship them here to Thailand. Oh well, it's a hard lesson learned.
Cheers
Steve
I have a pair of Givi bags on my TDM850. Had to make rack to keep them out of wheel. Nice bags, roomy and expandable. Not waterproof, but come with rain covers.
