How do you clean yours?

This my first bike with a chain. What is the best way to go about cleaning it?

I will be adding a scottoiler, in the very near future.

first...put the bike on a stand that raises the rear wheel off the ground so u can rotate the wheel ....use kerosene to clean the chain applying it with a soft brush such as an old tooth brush....clean chain thoroughly...wipe off good with a rag, then apply lubricant...I use PJ 1...it sticks to the chain well and doesn't fly off...there are other lubricants but I find this works well...if u don't have a stand then u have to keep moving the bike to get at the chain..:thumb:

I had to google kerosene, to find out what it is here in the UK, it's called paraffin.
