In in June 2010 I bought some new boots. I purchased some Teknic Violator boots from sportbiketrackgear.com I would highly recomend these boots to all that are looking for some new footwear these boots are waterproof (worn them in the pouring rain) they are a really great fit to my 10.5 fat foot and they are very comfy to walk in fresh out of the box and good grip at the stop on most surfaces. Had my eye on these as replacements to my well worn Alpinstar Ridges for a while but the price was always a bit high for the budget $269.00 dollars pretty much every where. I found these at sportbiketrackgear.com for $179.00 and at that price I had to get them and am glad I did. They are also easy on and off. My regular jeans, Draggin jeans and over pants fit over them easily. They are as well solidly built and seem like they will be good protection in the event of a bad get off. They also are a big help in mediating any peg vibration comfared to the Alpinestar boots I had :thumb:

If I was in the market for new boots I'd be very tempted by these. I have a pair of Alpinestar gps boots that I got on clearance and they get the job done. The don't have all of the bells and whistles but are far superior to street boots.

These look like excellent boots. Sport Bike Track Gear is a great vendor as well. Are they easy to get on and off? I need new boots and besides the obvious requirements, I'd like something that is easy on and off. (Not it a crash of course.) ;)

ayermedic,

Which size boot did you get? I'm about a 10.5 (with most of my shoes) too and I've never bought footwear in Euro sizes before. I've seen different conversion charts suggest anything between 44 and 46 so I just want to make sure I get it right the first time.

Thanks!

Hey NJD I bought size 45 they seemed to be right for my wide feet. They seemed to have a little extra room so I just ratchet down the sides and and they are perfect fit with room for a pair of warmer socks if I let them out. (there is a adjustment on the side to tighten the boots up) 45 work for me no regrets all my stuff is 10.5 like you. There is plenty of adjustment either way in the boot. hope I was able to help good luck.

Hope you have long legs. Those boots have a 15* forward slant to help the racers with their knees in their armpits.
Kinda chafes. Unless you're into that sorta thing.
