Hey everyone.....nice to see that there is already a forum for this bike. My name is Dan, I'm 28, been riding since I was 6 years old and recently traded about 1/3 my soul for a 2008 Versys! I have put only about 30 miles on it do far, but absolutely love this bike!
A little about me........
I am a textiles engineer for a consumer products risk management provider. I have ridden for a long time and had/have a ridiculous amount of 2 wheeled vehicles to speak of.
I am looking forward to setting my Versys up to suit my wants and needs and hope to bring some knowledge to the forum, and of course benefit from everyone elses!!

Welcome to the forum, Dan.

I wasn't sure whether you were really a committed biker when I read your statement about recently trading "1/3 my soul for a 2008 Versys." It's been my experience that you have to give away at least 1/2 of your soul in order for your new ride to bond with you and take you seriously. However, my worries were put to rest when it became clear that you had yet to begin adding accessories, tweaks, farkles, gizmos, etc., to your new Versys. The aftermarked modifications always require a substantial investment of soul, so you'll have no problem making it well past the 50% mark! :D

I'm picking up my '08 Versys next week. I look forward to hearing about your bike and your rides!
