Very nice. Maybe we should make this a "Sticky" post, so we can find it when we need it.

Thanks stlee, that is very helpful.

Hey, no one ever told me that the V has 114 ft-lbs of torque!!!
(see Service Manual, section 1-8)

I wonder who got fired for doing that conversion...

Send a message via Yahoo to jovial73
And two pages later....

The conversion table:

Nm 0.7376 = ftlb

61 0.7376 = 44.9936

114 ftlb would be nice.... I wouldn't last long on it though.

:'where did my bike go!':

Thanks STLEE29 for the links.
Hey, if anyone prints the manual like I did (couldn't read the small print online)
you can skip the 40 or so pages on ABS brakes. My printer is so slow, I have
been on this print for hours! (personal problem, I know). I also am skipping engine removal and internal engine data 'cause I am never going there!

Question: Does anyone know if Kawasaki ever produced any with ABS at all?
My quess is that it was too expensive, and judging from all the instructions,
too problematic to fix. Just wondering.

I took the .pdf file to a Kinkos and they printed it for me for $41.00. That is 2 sided with spiral bound and front clear cover and a solid black back cover. I thought it was a good deal.

STLee:

Thanks for posting the manuals. I used to live in Singapore and road thousands of miles throughout Malaysia. Unbelievable great roads, friendly warm people and almost nil cops! Biker's paradise. Have some Mee Goreng for me.
