Friction plates?

Hi everyone,

I need your expertise once again. I'm using a 2015 Versys 650 ABS and it is on 30000km. During last 5000km I felt like bike is not responsive as before and when I want to accelerate quickly, it doesnt respond as quick as before. Let's say I'm moving with 130Km/h and turn the throttle. Bike starts to get louder, rpm goes high but bike accelerate slowly.

So I got suspicious about my friction plates might worn off and get the bike to service. They changed the plates but I couldnt observe an obvious change.

I highly appreciate if you share you ideas and experiences about my problem.

Thanks already.

Have you checked that your clutch-cable slack is correct?

From Ma Kawi they're ALWAYS set-up so the "engagement point" is FAR from the handle-bars, making the clutch CLOSE to the point where it will NOT engage. I re-adjusted all THREE of my Vs, as well as other Kawis for friends. Here's a pic of where my lever is adjusted to:

As you can see - quite different from the way it (they) came.
